Frie J. Jacobs is een interdisciplinaire beeldende kunstenaar. Zijn oeuvre omvat schilderijen, tekeningen, driedimensionale en digitale werken, in-situ interventies, visuele muziekpartituren en handgemaakte kunstenaarsboeken. Frie creëert zijn kunst met zowat alles wat hij in de natuur tegenkomt: vuur, wind, regen, planten, zaden, bloemen, wortels, paddenstoelen, houtskool, bijenwas, …
Het werk van Frie krijgt zowel nationale als internationale erkenning. Zo was zijn kunst al te zien in het CICA Museum in Korea, in het National Museum of Fine Arts in Kirgizië, op het kunstenfestival Watou in België en op het Brussels International Underground Poetry Festival in Wiels.
